A habitat enhancement installation on a former city dump, Foraging Island was created at the Palo Alto Baylands Preserve, the site of a former city dump. The project was created with over one hundred volunteers from local residents, city council members, and representatives of the Audubon Society. Burrowing owls were spotted at the site shortly after completion.
